Please see each program’s host website for more information.* EENG 8226 - Thermal Energy Systems course covers a variety of renewable resources available for production of thermal energy. Geothermal technology which relies on the thermal energy stored in the earth's crust, biomass technology which considers available organic material, and waste-to-energy technology are the main focus of the course. Characterization of resource types, size, distribution, chemical and physical properties relevant to energy production, thermal conversion, as well as sustainability attributes will be discussed for each technology.
