The first modification that I want to tell you about is the carb spike you can do in the middle of the week. When you load your carbs on the weekend and then go back to the high-protein/high-fat/low-carb on Monday, you will find that over Monday and Tuesday you will be using both the fat- and the carb-burning metabolisms at the same time. This will result in a look that is big and vascular. You will feel very motivated as a result.
Now is the time when you might try to insert a midweek carb spike. If you choose to do this, you should do it first thing Wednesday morning and you should load up for one hour on high-GI foods. Take in as much as 1000 calories of carbs in this hour. Go for it!
