Delicious And Healthy Recipes For The Busy Mom

As a personal trainer and definitely NOT a Nutritionist, it makes me a little (ok ALOT!) sad, frustrated, angry...like REALLY angry, that our health and subsequent quest for energy and a body we love to look at requires 80% dedication to nutrition and 20% commitment to fitness! UGH!!! For reals we all know it is easy to stay dedicated to our goal for one hour a day...but 3 meals and 2 snacks...and 23 hours of potentially being hungry. NO WAY!!

So when my clients began asking me about snacking and the best way to combat hunger while working towards optimal health and energy I knew I had to turn to the experts. While I may be super confident that you will get the most amazing, fabulous super cool and efficient workout possible (cause that is my thing!) I promise you that I will only pass on what I have learned from the professionals that I believe in when it comes to answering your food concerns.

What I would like to share with you are some of my favourite recipes for energy and also to prevent me from having to buy bigger pants ( I cannot afford to, on many levels!)

They come from my friend and colleague help-yourself-to-seconds-feature-700x400.png Michelle Vodrazka -she is amazing, and she has generously agreed to share these with you. They come from her fabulous book Help Yourself to Seconds. If you love them, visit here to help yourself to more!

Please keep in mind that my relationship with food at best is shaky and well with my lifestyle I eat and drive! This is such a basic list of all the amazing healthy and hopefully guilt free (Who needs it?) options. Please remember that if you stick to whole foods, no chemicals, no preservatives, no artificial flavors or sugars , in moderation EVERYTHING can be a snack that is good and good for you!

I hope this helps and please share with me your favorite snack ideas or even better drop them off at my house ;)
