1. Purpose

This Challenge Paper is being shared with all participants to basecamp:London 2019 and with all alumni from basecamp:Toronto (November, 2018).

The intent of this document is:

  • To involve you, through your feedback, reactions and actions, in the shaping of a global community, "re•base", beyond basecamp:London.
  • To invite you to "raise your hand" and express your interest to work on, or contribute to, one or more of the questions or actions identified in this paper.
  • To model some of the emerging values of the wider "re•base" effort, such as radical inclusion and participation.

(During basecamp:London, given time constraints, we suggest focussing our in-person dialogue on the proposals and questions raised in Section Three: The re•base Community.)

Throughout this document, the authors pose many questions - problems that they're working on, and have formed ideas about, but don't feel are solved yet. No one is expected to give all the answers. But if some questions really interest you, and if you want to be involved in the search for answers, please do let the authors know that, or email Chris (chris@rebase.camp).
