Procedure: Exhaust Vent through Rim Joist
- Slope the duct towards the exhaust. Install duct supports as required to prevent the duct from sagging.
- All duct joints should be sealed with foil tape.
- Seal around the duct wall penetration.
- Place sealant between the duct and vent hood.
