Mi'kmaw from K'jpuktuk and a member of the Indigenous Professional Association of Canada, Corey Mattie has always been involved in the energy and environmental sector. Corey is a strong advocate for the importance of environmental enhancement, social responsibility, and sound ethical business practices. As a local from Nova Scotia, Corey places strong value on the importance and adoption of community-based governance and inclusion.

Holding a Bachelor of Commerce, Certificate in Energy Systems Management from the University of Toronto, Certificate from the Foundation for Environmental Stewardship, LEED Accreditation, 2020 Catalyst, and attending Ryerson University in Environmental Sciences. Corey is well rounded in various aspects of Canada's primary Industries.

Currently he sits on the Board for various organizations including Scotian Wind, Community Foundations of Canada, and the Community Sector Council of Nova Scotia.
