Deal structures used to be pretty simple, but with the increased number of angels who are willing to invest more money, there are hundreds of ways to structure a deal. Do some research on deal structures to determine which is most favorable for you.
When you go to meet an investor, have a deal already defined that you can present to them. Leaving it open ended allows them to stall the conversation and forces them to do work. It's a lot easier to close a deal when you can say "I'll give you x for y" and they don't have to do your homework.
