  • Select "Servers" within the product navigation bar at the top.
  • Click "Create Server".
  • Give your Server a name, "WPClone01".
  • Give your Server a region, "Dallas (DFW)".

Ok, stop! On the image screen, click the "Saved" tab and select the image you just created from the master server.

Click the "Saved" image tab under the Image section.
Select the image created in the previous section.

Size

Select a server size, 512MB / 30GB
  • You may create the clone with a larger size than the image it is based on, but, you cannot create it with a smaller size.

Network

Leave the Default "Publicnet" and "Servicenet" Networks Selected
Click "Create Server"
  • Creating a server can take a few moments. If the server is not immediately visible, it is still in the creation process. Grab a cup of tea and give those lightening fingers a rest.

Get your Password and IP

You ay change the password of the clone server once it has finished building.

Click the Actions Cog and Select "Change Password".
Enter a strong password for your Server.

With both the master and clone server up and running, it is time to create a load balancer that will distribute traffic. A load balancer provides you an IP to assign one DNS address to route traffic to both servers. This also allows us to create additional servers and add them to the load balancer rotation in the future.
