What is pull planning and how does it work?

Pull planning means starting with the end in mind. It is a process that is part of the Last Planner® System. Collaborating and integrating will make pull planning successful. The key to pull planning is starting with the completion date, highlighting the interim milestones and then looking at the activities and specialty trade handoffs along the way. This will allow team members to see overlap, linkages. Once these are identified, one can see where time can be shaved off a schedule, there could be potential cost savings. Pull planning training will be starting in December/January this year.
