The Key Challenge to discuss is:

How we can better understand education as an artistic process, creating space as a deep learning and transformation opportunity, ultimately, bring more of an "artist's temperament" to education to significantly improve our visual competence and dialogue skills.

Society has been trained to think of education as something supplied by a system. And so both "problems" and "solutions" tend to investigate / re-imagine that system. While this is important, it completely misses the giant opportunity to re-imagine what education could be, from the perspective of the learner. Therefore, leading questions from a learner perspective are: How do I perceive the world around me? How do I construct my own point of view? Can I reflect my own bias and put that into perspective? Am I able to reconstruct my position by integrating other perspectives? Can I train myself to question 'who am I' again and again to constantly unfold my potential as human?

I believe there is a fundamental re-thinking of our visual intelligence that needs to happen inside each of us, and that is what I am challenging your experience with the re-thinking education table at basecamp:London to be.

Will you join me in this exploration?
