Engagement Does Not Equal "Likes"

"Likes", "+1s" and other electronic indicators of approval are great to have on social media. However, those "likes" should not be the end of the REALTOR® 2.0's pursuit. "Likes" represent that a REALTOR® has the attention of a group of potential (and past clients in the case of veteran real estate agents) but it does not inconclusively represent current engagement (Kiron, 2012, p. 2).

For the savvy REALTOR® 2.0, "likes" should not be revered as the pinnacle of success (causing the practitioner to cease further, more meaningful interaction) but rather as a signpost of the potential client base along the path that should be entreated and engaged.
