You paid money for this conference. It's essential to discover exactly what you want from it. It's time to dig deeper into your WHY to enhance your focus at the conference and achieve your goals.

Before you go to your event, you need to have a concrete plan. This will give you more focus and keep you motivated.

When I went to a conference for entrepreneurs, one of my goals was to get out of my comfort zone and talk to some of the speakers. That's pretty vague. If I'd left that goal as is, it probably would have never been accomplished because there was no metric for success. Instead, I made this concrete by picking three presenters in particular.

By having three people in mind, it was easy to see my progress and achieve my goal. For a goal to be powerful it must be measurable. Think about the goal, the smaller steps necessary to accomplish it, and your desired outcome from the accomplishment. The worksheet below will help you create clear and actionable steps to achieve your goals. Keep in mind how you can add value to others throughout this process. As you're preparing, keep your goals in mind and don't forget to bring this sheet from the Action Guide with you to the event.

Here's an overview of your goal table for the conference. Continue to the next page to see an example of my goals, action steps, and desired out- comes from a previous conference. After you've seen my example, it's time for you to take action!
