After The Conference: Time To Reflect

RULE #15: TIME TO REFLECT

"WHAT YOU GET BY ACHIEVING YOUR GOALS IS NOT AS IMPORTANT AS WHAT YOU
BECOME BY ACHIEVING YOUR GOALS."

What you do after the conference is just as important, if not more important, than what you did at the conference. If you're going to maximize the value of the event to its fullest potential, you need a system to organize the information you gathered. It's important to review the goals you set when preparing for the event.

Go over your goal sheet from rule number three and fill in the next two parts. Did you achieve your goals? Did you meet the people you wanted to meet? If so, congratulate yourself. You put a lot of hard work into this.

Do you have goals that you didn't meet? Failing to achieve a goal isn't entirely bad. We learn from our failures as long as we take the time to reflect on them. Think about reasons why you didn't achieve that goal. Identify what went wrong and why. You can take what you learned from this experience and use it at your next conference.
