Start early on reaching out to relevant influencers and blogs in order to get featured when you launch or near the end of your funding campaign.

It can take a lot of time to develop a relationship with a blogger, so start a month or two early by posting helpful comments and trying to build a rapport before making a big request.

Similarly with publications, you'll want to tap into your network early to see if you can get featured in the press. Don't just send out a blind request; try to figure out an angle for your story that will help the journalist fit it with their publication, interests and writing style.
