Common Tools & Views

When you've clicked on "Create Guide", the Guide Editor opens and you'll see some common elements on your screen.

Below the cover image

This is the Guide Navigation bar. Use these icons (left to right) to Share the Guide, Add it to another Space, open Settings, or Search.

On the left side:

This is the Persistent Navigation Menu - a.k.a. your Table of Contents.
As you add pages and sections, you'll see them appear in this menu. You can also search through the Guide.

On the bottom of the navigation are two buttons - add a section, and add a page.

NOTE: these are only visible when in the "edit mode" (click on the orange pencil icon)

Editing Your Guide

When you click into the text area of the Guide Editor window, you'll open the Guide Editing Tool Bar at the top-centre:

This menu includes functions very similar to word processing or presentation softwares - just start typing or copy & paste from another document. You can import pictures, video, audio, widgets and links to external sources. As well, you can create bullet point and numbered lists, and edit your text just like a word processor.

When you're done editing, click on the orange 'check mark' icon to close the Editor.
