Rank Channels Based On Cost, Effort, And Outcome

On the same spreadsheet from the previous task, enter a short description of how you would use that channel. For example, if one of your channels is email, indicate how you could obtain prospects' email addresses, and a short description of what your "benefit" email message would be, etc...

Also include current channels or programs that your team is using, such as blogging, videos, email newsletters, etc. and rank them based on how they impact your Core Metric (not how they affect other "feel-good" factors such as customer satisfaction, etc...).

Then rank each of your channels on a score from 1-10 based on:

  • Cost: How much will it cost to implement? Is it cheap (1) or crazy expensive (10)?
  • Effort: How much work will it take to do this? Not much (1) or a lot of work (10)?
  • Outcome: How successful do you think this will be? Not very (1) or extremely effective (10)?

The last two columns (Total Score & Grade) are automatically calculated for you so that you can evaluate which of the channels have the "highest" score and are therefore probably better channels to focus on first.
