College/ University Education

Here are ways of writing about your college/university education on your resume. To start us off below is how to craft your education info if you have graduated with honors:

BA in Communication, 2018

Southern New Hampshire University, Manchester, NH, US

On a side note, do you know how to write double major on resume? If you don't, simply follow the above format.

Note, you can pen your qualification in full like so.

Bachelor of Arts in Communication, 2018

Southern New Hampshire University, Manchester, NH, US

Don't know how to put college on resume if you haven't graduated yet? Write "education in progress" if you're in college studying. Here is an illustration.

Bachelor of Arts in Communication in progress

Southern New Hampshire University, Manchester, NH, US

If you attended college/university but did not finish your course, you can include the same in the academic info. Commence by writing your school's name and then provide your beginning and end dates. After that, give the total credits you attained for that program. Lastly, pen your high school details at the lower segment. View this example to know how to list unfinished college on resume.

University of Leeds, Leeds, UK

2016-2017: Finished 30 credits towards BA in Geography with Transport Studies

Cardinal Heenan Catholic High School, 2015

Leeds, UK

Do you hold a graduate degree? Seeing as this boosts your credibility as an occupation seeker, this qualification should be placed higher than your undergrad degree. If you're in the business field, here is how you can pen your academic details.

Master of Business Administration, 2018

University of Rochester

Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business

University of Rochester, 2014

If you hold an advanced degree that is not suited to your occupation, write it beneath your undergrad degree if it has no connection whatsoever to your current occupation. Case in point, if your profession is surveyor, it is not necessary to include 'a Masters in Transport Planning'. Save a place for the GIS aptitudes you will have acquired during your study. So, to make your Master's valuable, consider including the coursework that is suitable for your post. Example:

Bachelor of Science in Survey

SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry, 2017

Master of Science in Transport Planning, 2019

Coursework: Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

How can you craft an incomplete degree on resume? Pretty much as you write your unfinished undergraduate studies. Provide the expected graduation date if there is significant coursework to complete.

Master of Business Administration, to be completed 2018

University of Rochester, Rochester, New York

If you've completed everything for the dissertation, say "all but dissertation" (ABD) right under your graduate program. Example:

Master of Business Administration

All but dissertation (ABD), 2016

University of Rochester

If you discontinued your Masters degree, do not include this detail in your academics. Instead, create a section titled "Research Work" or "Professional Development." Then under it, write your info like so:

Post-graduate coursework in Geography with Transport Studies, University of Leeds, Leeds, UK, 2016-2017
