Cheryl McKinnon is a principal analyst serving the needs of Enterprise Architecture Professionals. She is an expert in records management, information governance, and eDiscovery. Cheryl brings a broad perspective to this role, with deep experience in many areas of content and information management, including ECM, social media, collaboration, and standards.D;A;D;A;Previous Work ExperienceD;A;Before joining Forrester, Cheryl was founder and principal consultant of Candy Strategies, where she provided content management advisory services to both public- and private-sector clients.

One of her flagship projects was to overhaul the content and curriculum of the AIIM ECM Master Course - the flagship education offering from one of the world's largest associations representing information professionals. Cheryl has served as VP of marketing for AIIM, chief marketing officer of Nuxeo, and has held senior management roles with OpenText and Hummingbird. Cheryl has presented frequently at conferences, seminars, and webinars. She is a long-time member of industry associations AIIM and ARMA and has served on association conference and standards committees.

She has been a regular blogger and guest contributor to online journals such as CMSWire, FierceContentManagement, Opensource.com, and KMWorld.D;A;D;A;EducationD;A;Cheryl has a bachelor's degree from the University of Winnipeg, a master's degree from Carleton University, and has completed coursework toward a Ph.D. at the University of Ottawa, though she remains (regrettably) "ABD."
