Miguel Garcia is Senior Vice President, Product Development and Chief Technology Officer for the IX unit of OpenText, responsible for technology strategy and product development. Mr. Garcia is a seasoned product development leader with more than 25 years of professional experience. He has extensive international experience leading global software development teams with a proven track record of building products from concept to commercial delivery.
Mr. Garcia has been named to the Hispanic IT Executive Council's (HITEC) 2014 HITEC 100, a premier list of the most influential and notable Hispanic professionals in the information technology industry.D;A;Mr. Garcia most recently held the position of SVP Product Development, Performance Optimization Applications with SAP/Business Objects in Paris, France. He was responsible for integrating a cohesive suite of performance optimization applications based on SAP's many acquisitions in this space.
Prior to SAP/Business Objects, he ran global product development organizations for several major organizations including S1 Corporation, Cando.com, CNN.com (AOL/Time Warner). At CNN, he was part of the team that created CNN Interactive, the division that produces CNN's web sites.D;A;Mr. Garcia received a Masters of Science in Computer Science from State University of New York at Stony Brook and a Bachelors of Science in Electronic Engineering from Universidad Javeriana in Colombia, South America.
