Green Fleets Business Case Series, 2020 - examines the procurement considerations, costs and benefits of municipal fleet electrification. The Report also presents three business cases for the purchase of electric vehicles and ice resurfacers, providing a step-by-step analysis of the total cost of ownership, and total emission reductions from electrification.

Model EV Employee Policy (available to download on our CAP website) is a ready-to-use transferable template to help municipalities manage the future demand for EV charging for employees. The purpose of this Policy is to guide municipalities on the provision of charging stations for staff to charge their personal EVs, as well as to promote a corporate culture at the municipality that prioritizes sustainability and GHG emissions reduction.

The Model Green Fleets Policy (available to download on our CAP website) is also a transferable template to support municipal procurement of EVs in a transparent and accountable way that balances fiscal responsibility, social equity and environmental stewardship. This Policy establishes the process for EV acquisition and management using a life-cycle costing approach.

CAP EV Business Case, 2017 - This report is designed to help fleet managers and other stakeholders build EV business cases. It does so by providing an overview of important considerations based on existing North American business cases and guidance documents. It is not intended to be prescriptive or exhaustive but provides a framework of considerations that
stakeholders can use to effectively communicate the advantage of EV fleet vehicles to
municipal decision-makers.

Creating an Effective Workplace Electric Vehicle Charging Policy, 2017 - This report explores how municipalities can create workplace EV charging policies by examining existing guidelines and current workplace EV charging best practices. Section 1 highlights the advantages of workplace EV charging, section 2 documents five Canadian workplace EV charging policy case studies, and section 3 analyses existing guidelines and present-day examples to advise stakeholders on how they can develop and enforce effective policies.
