Contractor Qualifications

CUFCA encourages consumers to inquire about the following qualifications of your Spray Foam Insulation Contractor.

  1. CUFCA Membership. SPF Contractor shall be a CUFCA (Canadian Urethane Foam Contractors Association) member in good standing. Visit us at www.cufca.ca
  2. Licensing and Registration. SPF Installer shall possess all required statutory/regulatory licenses and CUFCA Issued Photo ID that is not Expired. All Installers are to be certified, or if apprentices, supervised by a licensed installer.
  3. Certification. Where certification is required by a material manufacturer, Insulation Contractor shall maintain such certification.
  4. Years in Business, References, & Warranty. CUFCA Contractors will be trained to the highest standards and will also make available suitable references for their work. Additionally CUFCA has an additional warranty program available to them.
  5. Insurance. All CUFCA Contractors will carry a minimum of 2 million in General Liability Insurance. All will be properly documented with applicable workers compensation board.
  6. Industry Code of Ethics. Insulation Contractor shall subscribe to the CUFCA Code of Ethics (www.cufca.ca/ethics.pdf).
  7. Code Requirements. All work performed by Insulation Contractor shall be in compliance with all required state and local building codes, energy codes, and related regulations in the jurisdiction where the Insulation Contractor does business.
