NOTES

The developing flame promotes very rapid mixing and ignition creating a fireball.

The expanding burning gases increase in temperature and pressure but are confined due to the compartment. A 'pressure wave' forms and fuel rich, flaming gases explode through the opening.

Since added air is available these can continue to burn as they exit the enclosure.
