Tactical Considerations

• Fire growth due to ventilation must be reduced by applying water on the fire during fan operation.
• Domestic floor plans with many rooms and closed doors offer the best opportunity for benefit.
• Limited to no benefit on domestic open floor plans or with high, vaulted ceilings.
• Source fire must be near or adjacent to an exterior outlet.
• Rapid fire growth is possible if fire has extended to void spaces.
