Appetizers, such as chicken wings, mini quiches, sausage rolls and shrimp cocktails, are all high in calories and trans fat. It is not uncommon for an individual to take in a full meal's worth of calories thanks to an appetizer. If you must, choose a small appetizer to whet your appetite, but choose something that will not pack on pounds.
