The Feet And Hands

We build yoga poses from the foundation upwards. Often, this means establishing strength and stability in the feet and/or hands. We can think of the feet and hands in parallel - each having four corners to ground down, creating a solid foundation. When we have a strong foundation - one that is stable and secure - we can move more freely without feeling out of balance or unsure. Strong foundations give us the confidence to be more open, more flexible and even to experience vulnerability without fear of being hurt or feeling pain.

In the following pages we'll learn how to establish a strong foundation in the hands and feet in order to securely support each yoga pose.
