Performing An Audit

Field audits can be completed from within FranchiseBlast (simply choose one from the upcoming audits list and click Start). However, the best experience is achieved using our mobile-friendly app designed for use on devices with touchscreens. Click on the mobile phone in the top right corner of the application to switch to the mobile version. Auditors typically bookmark this hyperlink for future use.

Once open, you will notice a list of stores. You may search for the store you are about to visit, but the app puts the stores with scheduled audits at the top for your convenience. Stores for which you've previously completed an audit are also higher in the list than the stores which you have access to but, for example, may not be in your territory.

To begin an audit, click on the related store. This will open the store's dashboard. The dashboard includes planned audits at the top, store past results and statistics (compared to the franchise), the store's address (click on it to open it up in Google Maps and use your GPS to find the store), the store's phone number (when on your mobile phone, click on it to call the store) and the store's opening hours. Of particular interest is the Audit History, which allows auditors to peruse the past audits to better assess the situation before beginning the assigned audit.

To begin the planned audit, click on it. The audit will load and be ready to be performed. Notice the buttons at the top of the screen. The rightmost button lets you return to the store dashboard; don't worry: your partial audit results are automatically saved as you fill out the form.

You may also switch languages or even activate an optional layer which shows you the past audit results. Here's a quick example showing the past results after switching to French (Multilingual audits are great for franchisees who are not native English speakers).

Performing an audit is straightforward. Simply answer every question using the user-friendly interface. You may snap pictures with your device, or upload them from your computer if you are using a laptop. Pictures will be uploaded to our servers; here is a screenshot of this process in action.

When a store fails a question, it is desirable to create a follow-up task to resolve the situation. Do to so, simply click the button next to the question and select Create Task. For your information, you may also add textual comments or pictures on any question.

This opens the Create new Task dialog. Select the task description, due date for resolution, user group, priority and visibility before creating the task. Note that you must also choose if this task is a violation. Violations are critical failures which entail legal action. These are logged within the franchisee's official record within FranchiseBlast. Clicking Create Task will save the task with the audit, but note that it will only be created once the audit manager approves the audit.

Once complete, submit your audit. You will be prompted to confirm that you've finalized this audit as it will then become read-only. At this point, the scores will be revealed and the audit will be presented to the audit manager for approval.
