A Persona is a fictitious, specific, and detailed description of a typical customer that you are making your product for, and they are based on research. Think about things like what their name will be. Choose a name not really associated with a specific person, so you don't have any associations.
To help you envision your single person, start by making a brainstormed persona, called a Provisional Persona. Validate and correct your provisional persona by talking to real people, so that they are based on actual data.
