Learn From Customer Development

Customer Development should be a continuous process.

Customer Development is about establishing a continuous feedback loop throughout the product development cycle, and this may be difficult for a startup company. To start the feedback loop, you have to build appropriate customer touch points in the form of ongoing usability tests, customer feedback calls and interviews.

The findings from your interviews will help you see whether the persona that you initially created is accurate, or needs to be tweaked.

Customer development isn't just asking customers what they want - it's seeking to understand what they need, how they work and where their pain points & highest priorities are. Customers may not be able to articulate what they want, but they can't hide what they need.

Don't worry if you were a bit off-base with your initial vision. You've learned a lot since then, and are now able to hone in on your true customer. This will reduce the chance for mistakes later in the process, and help ensure that your product is truly great.

In this online workshop, you will transform interview notes into action. You will review the notes from your customer interviews and update your customer persona based on what you learned.
