These elements are most easily documented using a popular tool called the Lean Canvas, which is a one-page document describing and documenting various elements of your plan. We use an online version of this tool called leanstack.com, which is available for free at the time of this writing.
The document shouldn't be treated as a sacred cow, and it willchange over time, as all businesses must. But it's is a great way to align your entire team, new members or old, as to what your focus will be when asking for a backlog of features. It also helps free your team to think of innovative solutions within the safety of a business model.
