Asset Management

A core component of Green Infrastructure is the incorporation of several resource or asset management systems into one broad network of infrastructure. Many materials have been published to assist communities to better manage their resources and develop multi-purpose asset management plans.

This roadmap was developed via a workshop on integrating Green
Infrastrcuture into Asset Management planning. It was developed in
consultation with CAC municipal members, Green Infrastructure
Ontario Coalition, Clean Air Partnership, as well as input from
numerous conservation authorities and other important stakeholders.
The jurisdiction scan is intended to be a broad overview of key Canadian, US, and International jurisdiction who have established stormwater control criteria as part of national, state, regional criteria or municipal standards. Click on the picture below to access the document.
This report is part 2 of a toolkit that Green Infrastructure Ontario
created to help urban forest managers understand how urban forest
assets fit into the municipal asset management planning process.
The Water Research Foundation in the US has developed multiple tools to help water utilities incorporate natural assets in their asset management plans as business as usual. The tools range from spreadsheets to databases to planning guides.
This study of 5 jurisdictions intends to inform and provide the basis for development of Runoff Volume Control Targets for Ontario.
