Summary: The International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) and the MAVA Foundation developed the Sustainable Asset Valuation (SAVi) to help policy-makers and investors make informed decisions on infrastructure financing. SAVi allows us to evaluate the financial attractiveness of an infrastructure project across the life cycle, taking into account important environmental, social, economic and governance factors that are overlooked in a traditional valuation including the costs of risks and externalities, as well as the risks that can emerge from externalities over a project life cycle.
