You have a DHMO dental plan (Dental Health Maintenance Organization). DHMOs provide comprehensive dental benefits at fixed dollar co-payments. Enrollees must go to a dentist in the DHMO network for dental services. Dentists in the DHMO network are paid a monthly fee for each person that signs up and selects that dentist. Claims are not filed for each service provided by a DHMO network dentist. Non-emergency services received outside the network without prior plan approval are not covered by a DHMO.
