Similarly to when we sit around the fire, we are called to tell our story with fellow campers, sharing what we have with others that, probably because of our input, are consequently sharing their story (that we are going to call interest). This chain reaction will make other members of the circle more likely to share their interests. Contextually, we are having a glass of wine, a marshmallow, or playing guitar to make the process smoother.
