Arriving

Arrive into Guides. You're part of a community. But mostly your guild or clan with a shared purpose. Because you'll collaborate with them to change the world for the better, something you believe in, evolve life, and knowledge.

You join forces, meet virtually or phisically - just connect - define your (initial) character, understand where you are and what's going on, take your first beginner quest to get to know the basics. See you presence forming in the space (avatar in shared map), see where others are, and their real-time activity.
See some, but not the whole Guides world. You get a sense of how infinite that can be by the story you hear, and motivates you

It's about long term, short lasting gameplays. It doesn't require too much effort initially, just presence.

Join a guild, that will highlight the collaborative side of playing. I'd expect real people to be there live when I join them, or to be in a physical location where we can meet. Only by being both live we can form or join a guild.

Take on a cause that matters to you (perhaps the one that got you into Guides) read/watch a brief intro, action! you're in the mission already. Give your contribution, adrenaline is peacefully flowing in your body and mind, you matter here. There is no pressure, and you have the time you need, but share a reflection, message, or just show up. move around the space. Get familiar with it. Nothing else is required. Unless you want to continue :)

Next time you log in you are familiar and will see the people you belong to. they have done some progress in the topic they're working on. Get to their point, enter a guide they're working on, feel part of the group. your contribution is now desired. Let's start mining a current tension. Watch a short video by the tension creator. By playing you'll learn how that works, then you'll create new tensions. Once you're in, contribute. time is limited - a tension cannot live forever.

A main quest is a step of the collective pathway. a side quest is an add-on to your individual journey. So are character customizations, and grounding moments. They will then appear in the collective space.

Need a break...
