The HPSC on Guides offers many opportunities to support your business and help you stay connected to industry. Review the features available in Guides below or retake the Community Tour by clicking on the orange icon in the bottom right corner of the screen and selecting the option from the Actions tab.

Journal (discussion forum)

Long email threads cluttering up your inbox? Same here, so we created a place to share all your ideas and responses with your peers in an organized way. You can post new topics for discussion, see what others write, reply to other's comments, and easily access different forums to keep conversations focused and organized. Journals are specific to the Guide or Channel that you are currently viewing; for example, this is a Guide introducing home performance and the HPSC, therefore, discussions will focus on these topics. If you wish to discuss other topics, head back to the Overview page.

To access this feature on any page, click on the orange icon in the bottom right corner of the screen and select the Journal tab.

Contractor directory

As the home performance industry in BC grows, and the house-as-a-system approach/multiple-retrofits increase with it, contractors will need to connect with one another more than ever, especially across sectors. We have created a simple place to search for contractors by service area, sector, and other specialties to give you a quick way to reach out. We hope to expand this feature in the future and welcome your ideas for improvement! Complete your profile and see who else is in the community by clicking on the Directory on the left-hand navigation panel.

Resources and comments

Guides has hundreds of resources to help your business succeed and increase awareness of home performance. Guides are organized into topic categories called Channels. The HPSC's reports, webinar recordings, and other resources have migrated here and you can explore them by exiting this Guide and using the left-hand navigation panel.

There is also much more on Guides from industry groups other than the HPSC. These Guides can be updated by the publishing organization in real-time so you know you are always getting up-to-date information rather than an outdated PDF. Plus, you can leave comments right on the page to notify the publisher of a comment or question.

Campfire (live text, video, or audio chat)

Whether you are participating in a live event, typing back and forth with a peer in the discussion forum, connecting with someone through the directory, or wanting to discuss a resource face-to-face, the live video chat or audio call feature makes it simple. No need to log onto another software - you can keep the conversation going right here.

Gatherings (live events)

The HPSC's HUB will serve as the new site for live online events. Stay up-to-date on the latest upcoming events and set your notifications for those you want to be reminded about. Stay tuned for more information coming soon.
