Join a Sector Council

The HPSC believes industry input is critical to developing effective long-term policies and programs that support home performance. Through our Industry Sector Councils, we facilitate industry engagement and development in the areas of advocacy, market growth, capacity building and quality workmanship.

Mandate

The mandate of each Sector Council is to guide the development of a professional, profitable and long-term sustainable home performance industry.

Benefits of Participation

The benefits of participating in a Sector Council include the opportunity to:

  • Strengthen our BC Home Performance Stakeholder Council as an industry voice;
  • Inform policies and programs that remove barriers and support growth of the industry;
  • Contribute to increasing the business opportunities for you and your industry; and
  • Network and collaborate with your industry-leading peers.

Requirements for Participating

As a participant of a Sector Council you would be requested to:

  • Able to commit to attending 60-90-minute quarterly meetings to support Council development and activities for a minimum of one (1) year
  • Provide your personal perspectives and recommendations on industry issues and opportunities
  • Engage with your peers on the Council via conference calls, meetings or workshops
  • Participate in consensus-based decision making;
  • Volunteer less than, or approximately equal to, one to three hours (≤ 1-3 hours) each month
