I first picked this idea up from ProBlogger Darren Rowse, who introduced the idea of batch processing to his readers.
Basically, batch processing involves taking an extended amount of time (2-3 hours) and processing a bunch of tasks within this time. For example, where most people write 1 blog post daily, Rowse takes off his Monday mornings to write 8-9 blog posts and schedules them throughout the week. This frees him up to do more the other 6 days of the week.
Batch processing is much more effective in terms of focus and productivity. Give it a whirl: write four pitches in one work session instead of just one at a time.
