Promoting your Guide shouldn't start at the end of the process. You can involve your different networks from the very beginning to help promote and support you.
This will not only enable you to have a better product, and generate some market awareness, but will give you a great head start once the Guide launches and is up for sale (though reviews, visible Guide activity and more robust feedback).
