Looking For Searches And Keywords

Before even beginning to create a Guide on a given subject, you should first find out if people are even looking for that kind of information. Is it an actual problem? Do people have a hard time finding enough (quality) information on the subject or not?

The best way to gauge this interest and potential demand is to leverage Google Search data. Here's how:

Select the first option.

  • Make sure that the targeting is all locations and then just enter your keywords at the top - don't worry about the rest of the fields and buttons.

  • Enter your keyword, keyword phrases and different combinations of the two in order to determine if there's a big enough search volume and low-competition.

  • Use the exact wording that brought up high traffic and low competition as your Guide title. That should be the problem you're trying to solve.
