I can't stress this enough that unique content is crucial to keeping your site active. Make sure you have a blog setup, the blog should have permalinks setup, and it should be updated at least twice a month. Blog about other news in your field, a new feature you are releasing or thinking about, anything that is relevant to your site. Do not do a personal blog about your life story on a business site. The blog needs to engage the user. If you plan on doing a blog about being a startup, then have different blog sections that will separate your 'startup blog' and your 'company blog'. I understand the difficulty with blog writing, and that's why I tend to use some outside resources to keep the automation moving. I'll give them a list of topics, pay them a flat fee per article, and once a relationship is setup, I'll set them up with a contributor account to write the article directly on the site. One thing I must say, is that you get what you pay for in terms of article writing. So find someone with experience and in the beginning copy and paste several lines of the sentence in google to see if it shows up and if they are plagiarizing someone else's work. If thats the case, immediately terminate them and report them to the site you hired them off of.
