Commercial pesticides like synthetic Pyrethrins have been used under many names since the 1970's. They are known to be highly toxic to bees, fish and tadpoles.

They cause birth defects in rats.

People who are sensitive to this insecticide have been known to develop asthma, skin rashes, as well as numbness and inflammation of the face.
