​Develop A Night Ritual

At this point, you've had the most productive day.

All you need is a closure.
Benjamin Franklin always asked himself: "What good have I done today?"

Think about the amazing things which have happened.


Here's a typical evening ritual for me:

  • After work exercise (Gym, run, organized sport) 1-1.5 hours
  • Evening meal (& clean up)
  • Hopefully watch Jeopardy --I'm a total Jeopardy junkie, don't judge!!
  • 20 minutes prep for the next day
  • Hot bath or 20 minutes reading
  • Bed by 10-10:30

During the week, that's pretty much how I end each day. That being said, especially during the summer or the holiday season, the evening ritual gets bumped around. The important thing here I think is to A)get to bed at approximately the same hour mostt nights, B) get at least an hour of exercise in 4-5 days a week, C) spend the 20 minutes or so required to get ready for the next day.
