The point here is to consider the important of the from field right alongside the subject line and the 'first line preview' that your customers are likely to see. Using my own case as an example (Chris Hexton and Vero as the company) here are the most common formats you'll see when it comes to from addresses:
For 99% of emails you send you should never to use the first two: be sure to make sure that you do define at least something relevant in the From field. More often than not including both a personal name and a company name allows customers to get an understanding of who has sent the email and why they've sent it, at a glance. Including an individual's name also helps soften the fact that you might be a large corporation that is emailing a lot of different customers.
