Step 1 - Backup Your Data

Select "File > Devices > Back Up". This helps ensure that any data you have on your device can be later restored.

Step 2 - Download Absinthe

Download Absinthe for unjailbroken devices here.

Step 3 - Extract and run the .dmg file

Double-click the .dmg file to decompress it and drag the Absinthe icon to your desktop.

Step 4 - Run the Jailbreak

You'll get a quick security notification about opening an app you downloaded from the internet:

Plug your device in and run the jailbreak.

Step 5 - Wait until it's complete

Your device will go through a few series of restore sessions and reboots.

You will be notified on-screen when absinthe has finished its work so don't unplug your device until you see this notification. When it's done, you can unplug your device from your computer.
