We call these Toms Squats -- inspired by Tom Tom Drums, the rack drums on either side of the snare in a standard drum kit.
HOW TO: Start with your feet and knees together, like you're sitting in an imaginary chair. Crank your arms back near your hips and drop even lower into your squat.
On the rebound up, strike your Ripstix together and lift your
right leg. Drop into a wide squat and open your arms, elbows
forming 90 degree angles.
Push off your right leg, strike your Ripstix together, and
return to center. Repeat to the opposite side. Try 10 reps slow to
each side, and then 10 fast!
