Adding A Guide Description & Cover Image

There are a few places around our marketplace, and within your branded site, where having a cover image for your Guide is important. From within the Guide editor, a menu at the top of the page should have a link to "Settings." All Guide marketing requirements are available from within this section of the content creator.

After clicking on the "Settings" link, you will have another sub-menu, this time to the left, that highlights General Settings, Marketing Settings, Integration Settings, About You, and Sales Details.

For the purpose of this section, we'll be focusing in on the "Marketing Settings" page, and the content provided therein; however, we suggest that you take a moment to explore the other sections and ensure that your Guide is configured to your liking.

Adding A Guide Description

Within the Marketing Settings page there exists a description box, and an image uploaded for your cover image. You Guides description can be as long, or as short, as you need it to be; but, we recommend that you provide a comprehensive outline of the material within your Guide for readers. Provide those with interest an incentive to read your Guide. Let them know what they'll find through out, and even tease them with content that may interest them. More information is never a bad thing when it comes to education potential customers.

You can format your text using built-in editing tools in this content box as well, so take advantage of this important marketing area, and use it to its full potential.

Adding A Guide Cover Image

Even more important than adding a description to your Guide is adding a cover image. Sadly, people judge a book by its cover, and a Guide is no different. Stick out from your competition, and make sure you spend an appropriate amount of time and energy working on a cover that represents the quality within your Guide.

Your cover should be 430 pixels by 555 pixels. Images may be cropped should they fall outside of that range.

To add a cover image to your Guide, simply click the "Choose File" button, navigate to the image you want to upload, and then click the "Open" button that appears in the dialog box that pops up. Now, click the "Update" button at the bottom of the Marketing Page to save your changes.
