Overview

For this requirement, you must complete a course called Quality Installation of Insulation Retrofits in BC Homes and submit a certificate of completion to your company admin.

The course is hosted by the HPSC on an external site. Read the following pages for further instructions.

About the Course

  • This course covers best practices for the quality installation of insulation in residential retrofit applications specific to single-family homes in British Columbia.
  • The course is online, self-paced and takes approximately 33 hours to complete, including a final exam.
  • Participants must achieve a passing grade of 70% on the final exam to receive a certificate of completion.

Two Parts

This course was designed to be completed in two parts for your convenience. You may choose to complete both parts back-to-back, or complete part 1 and return at a later time to complete part 2. Speak to your company admin for further direction.

Part 1: Modules 0-2

This part must be completed before your company can proceed with HPCN registration. Speak to your company admin about getting started on this part as soon as possible.

Part 2: Modules 3-8

You have up to 6 months from the date your company begins the Qualifications stage to complete this training. Ask your company admin for the specific date if you are unsure and/or for direction on when they want you to complete this part.
