Language for Marketing Materials

In addition to the logo (badge) terms of use outlined in the previous page, there are also guidelines for written and verbal communication about your company's affiliation with the HPCN and its program partners, and the Home Performance Stakeholder Council (HPSC).

When advertising your membership in the HPCN, follow these guidelines:

  • Your company is a member of the HPCN or a registered contractor with the HPCN; the HPCN does not certify or qualify contractors as these terms have specific meanings within the industry that do not apply here.
  • Your company is registered with, or a member of, the Home Performance Contractor Network (HPCN) not the Home Performance Stakeholder Council (HPSC). The HPSC is a not-for-profit society that manages programs such as the HPCN.
  • Membership in the HPCN is one of the eligibility requirements for some retrofit rebate and incentive programs. Government and utility programs may also require additional eligibility requirements. It is important that you and your customers review each program's eligibility criteria carefully.
  • You are welcome to copy the text from the "Permitted Communication" column below for your company's use. When used in writing (electronically) be sure to include the appropriate links, either embedded in the text or elsewhere in your communication.
