This section is written for employees that are invited to complete the HPCN training by their company admins (the main contact person for the registered company). For support for company admins, see the previous section.
List of Questions
1. How do I access the HPCN training?
Your company admin needs to invite you to complete the HPCN training. Once they send you an email invitation, check your inbox for a message from info@homeperformance.ca (remember to check your spam/junk folder if you don't see it). Click on the button in the email invitation to open the HPCN Portal.
You will be asked to create an account for the HPCN Portal. Your email address, name, and role at the company will be pre-filled by your company admin (if you notice any mistakes in this information, contact your company admin before continuing with the account creation).
Create a password for your account. This can be a new password, or the same password as you previously used on Guides.co to access the training (if you already had an account), it does not matter. Make sure you remember this password as you will need it each time you access your HPCN training.
This account is automatically tied to your company and you will see the sector(s) that your company admin has invited you to. You can click each sector to view your training requirements.
From the sector view, click on "View on Guides" to access each course/resource. For the FGIA FENBC Region Replacement Installer Fundamentals Exam, a certificate of completion is required - you will see the option to upload your certificate here.
Note: When you click on "View on Guides" for the first time, you will need to give permission to connect or create your Guides.co account. Depending on whether you have an existing Guides.co account, your screen will look like one of the screenshots below. In any case, you simply need to press the orange button to proceed.
2. I have not received an email inviting me to the HPCN Portal - what do I do?
First, check with your company admin to make sure they have sent you an invitation to the correct email address. If they have, check your spam/junk folder for an email from info@homeperformance.ca. If you still do not see an email, contact your company admin for support.
