Metals

These materials may pose a hazard to human health. The process of removal is called remediation and must be done by professionals.

The metals that are used in modern construction are mostly harmless or are wrapped with protective coverings to prevent exposure. When it comes to older buildings, however, you may find many metals that are now known to be hazardous to your health. Renovators, energy advisors and building inspectors should be aware of these hazards and learn to identify them.
